Kyle Haustveit is a completions engineer and manager of a centralized geoscience group at Devon Energy, focused on completions design, fracture modeling and diagnostic program design and interpretation. He joined Devon in 2011 as an engineering intern and has held various roles within the company of increasing scope and specialty skills. Haustveit is a professional engineer registered in the state of Oklahoma and has authored multiple technical papers and filed multiple patents related to offset pressure monitoring during hydraulic stimulation. He serves on the SPE Completions Advisory Committee, the Hydraulic Fracturing Technical Conference committee, International Hydraulic Fracturing Technical Conference committee, Intelligent Wells committee and the Well Completions for Unconventional Resource Development committee. Haustveit earned his bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering at Montana Tech in Butte, Montana and his MBA in Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business in Norman, Oklahoma.
